The first night of festivities was 'billed' as a "chic" 1920's dress. The party was held at one of the hottest clubs in Singapore ---Avalon--- right on the bay. People arrived by bus from the St. Regis, and walked up the red carpet lined with hot pink plumes of feathers.
Me in my best 'flapper' outfit. I will say I was not feeling well at ALL that night. I did make it through the evening but it was not easy.
Notice Steve's shoes, he was so proud of those black and white shoes, and must say he was a HIT!! Jack made the comment that if there was a BEST dressed 1920's prize Steve would win it, OR if there was a worst dressed prize,,, Steve would win it!! ha!!
Jack in his 'dapper' best outfit and fedora
Arriving on the red carpet
The evening continued on with drinking, dancing, and even had some show girls that made a grand entrance.
These were real roses and streams of real babies breath cascading down everywhere.
One of the showgirls who performed on Friday night.
Saturday Night Black Tie event
The next night was a fine dining event at the St. Regis hotel. The dinner place settings were exquisite along with the guests. We were next to some high level Singapore government officials, Miss Singapore was also in attendance. The decorations in this room were beautiful. Not sure all my pictures can do them justice. I did not bring my big camera to this event, just my small one.
YES, he wore his black and white shoes with his tux to the black tie affair on Saturday night
Outside the St. Regis before the black tie event
This was the entrance to the party on Saturday night, and a gift from Deloitte.
The bride likes to bake, and this was also outside the big event on Saturday night
All real roses it was beautiful
Even the clouds were real flowers!!
Our place settings, and the food we had
Not a great picture but she was beautiful in her dress. There was not a 'ceremony' just a party!!
These flowers were in the center of each of the about 40 tables.
Jack and Miss Singapore
Jack Miss Singapore, and a China Deloitte partner. This entire event was like going to a Deloitte event.
That is Vicky and a couple of her nieces, she had changed dresses during the night, however this is the only picture I got of her in this dress. She also wore this dress on Friday night to the 1920's event.
She has on his jacket, but this is the bride and groom.
A Deloitte partner and his wife, I thought this dress was the prettiest one there.
Loved the back of the dress!!
